The Sweet Dreams Sweater is a whimsical stranded colourwork sweater with enchanting motifs and a boxy, oversized fit. An older sister to the Childhood Dream Collection, Sweet Dreams explores more intricate colourwork motifs and forms which often nod to the Childhood Dream Collection motifs.

The Sweet Dreams Sweater is worked from the bottom up and uses steeking to create the armholes. First, stitches for the bottom hem are cast on and joined in the round. 1x1 ribbing is worked and then, colourwork charts are worked to create the body in the round. Once the underarms are reached, stitches are cast off for both underarms before additional stitches are cast on in their place to create the steeking stitches. The body is then continued in the round, while working the front body and back body in between the steeking stitches. This continues until the centre neckline is reached. Next, the sweater is divided into two panels; the front and back, casting off the steeking stitches and working two separate front panels and one back panel. The back panel is worked as one panel for an established length before stitches are cast off for the centre back neck and then the back shoulders are worked as two separate panels. Decreases are used to shape the front neckline before the shoulder stitches for the front and back on each side are grafted together along the top of the shoulder. Stitches around the neck hole opening are picked up to work a collar in 1x1 (k1, p1) ribbing. The ribbing is then folded down to create a double folded collar. The steeking stitches are reinforced before being cut open to create armhole openings. Sleeves are cast on using the tubular cast on and are worked from the bottom up, starting at the cuff. Once sleeves are complete, stitches will be picked up around the armhole opening and are then grafted together with the stitches around the sleeves for a clean join.
